The concept of the project was to place shopping facility within a three-level space with free sight
lines and air circulation across all levels within a built envelope, within which shoppers will freely
circulate on floating passages. Making of shopping a pleasant experience, maximization of
interaction among shoppers and wares and display fronts to floor area, and minimization of
circulation space were goals. A hexagonal honey comb of 350 sft units, which allows flexibility of shop sizes/ maximizes display
fronts were selected. Floating walks at 2nd and 3rd levels ensured visibility across all floors, and
enhanced convection air current from lower floors to clear story service floor open on all sides.
Natural fragment from here baths the entire shopping area.
Beyond the original requirement the architect, the architect provided two additional Residential & Housing floors
of bed-sitter apartment units: one at rooftop garden level and one at a terrace level above.
Two vertical circulation elements provide access to Residential & Housing floors.
Construction and Finish: RCC frame structure, plastered brick filler walls, light metal frame
fenestration/ mosaic flooring.
