The Human and Organizational Potential
Enhancement Center (HOPE Center) of the CCDB
provides the physical, technical and human resources
for capacity building among the many development
actors in Bangladesh. The Project attempts to
demonstrate through innovative design approach and
application of lessons learned in the Cost Effective
and Environment Friendly (CEEF) construction
technology a new road map for user friendly
buildings, environment friendly construction and
reduction of cost. This is the first major application of
CEEF technology in Bangladesh, which has been
familiar in many parts of the world, and specially in
India. Through collaboration of Indian and
Bangladeshi architects and the experts the
technology has been further explored towards
sustainability in a tropical climate as well as greater
conservation and cost saving measures.
