SOS CHILDREN’S VILLAGE at Khulna
Client: SOS Kinderdorf international Of Australia
Project Cost : TK. 28 million
Built up Area : 50,000 sft
Project Status : complete in 1982

The project, built after the Rajshahi SOS Village, also brings home 150 very young orphan children under care of 15 'mothers'. The project is to remain their roots forever, even after they set up their own life.
The design again attempts a close match to a Bangladeshi village in its layout, environment and structures, supporting a close knit family and community behavior in a normal family, in a different region of Bangladesh. Use of local material and technology of this region makes it slightly different from the Rajshahi Village.
